assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh :)

hi, call me imra/imok. 24. i'm a/an: ENFP, muslimah, wife, proud indonesian, dentist (wannabe), parents-complex daughter, and part-timer otaku.

this daily journal is basically a small window of my life. i write about everything, whether it's important or not. sometimes, it's not even serious. so don't expect too much from this blog. don't try to judge me based on my writings, because i'm much more complicated than you could imagine. and i never mean to hurt anyone by my words, so pardon me if somehow i offended you. last but not least, i've been writing here for more than 5 years, people changes, so do i. thanks, happy reading.

our steph

stephanie, the one who stands in the middle, is my bestfriend since junior high. then someone next to her is mbak irene, her cousin who were frequently joined our craziness. stephanie isn’t her real name, but long short stories, that’s how i addressed her up until today

to be honest, i found my friendship with steph really fascinating. for starters, we have different beliefs, she attended catholic senior high, while i attended public school, and both of our families are really religious. not only that, we also have totally different personalities. we used to argue a lot back then, but we never could bear any hard feelings even after all of those fights. she’s the type of girl who never give a d-mn sh-t about peoples she doesn’t care. she’s cool and has a strong impression. while i’m the type of girl who were worrying too much and looks plain, hahahah.

i still remember how my dad asked me to stop being friends with her after he found out that every sunday i waited steph to finish her weekly prayers at chruch. and there were also a lot times when i had to shalat then break my fast at her home. all of those memories which consisted of our efforts to cope or tolerate each other differences somehow could warm my heart.

from her, i realized that i actually respect someone not because of their belief, achievement, appearance, or education. but more about their manner and way of thinking. everytime i talked to her, i could tell that she’s a smart and confident girl. she has personality, and she never bother to faking it. that part definitely hasn’t change at all. she’s still the same steph i used to meet back then. even she’s become ‘wilder’ rightnow, she’s still the same respectful stephanie that i always love.
