last weekend, i visited bandung (by myself) for the first time in my entire life. actually, i think bandung wasn't that different from surabaya or malang. maybe because i don't have that much time to explore that city and i didn't intend to take any vacation there (well, i had a dentistry olympiad in bandung). but, from that short period of trip, i already could feel their sundanese culture through their people.
it was the first experience for me to be called by 'neng' or 'teh' constantly by public transportation drivers, some salesman, and random people that i met in bandung. and those kind of small things, never failed to amaze me. just like when i spend my kkn in probolinggo (where most of its people speak in madurese), and how i can't understand even a single complete sentence in sundanese nor madurese u.u
well, java island wasn't that big (if you compare it with another big islands in our archipelago), and within that 'small' territory, the culture was already so damnly different. indonesia is a very rich country. not (only) because its natural resources, but also its people and cultures. so why you have to be so curious about another country, when you haven't know your own country completely ._.
i just hope in the future i still have a lot of opportunities to explore this country and meet a lot of different people. yaaa, though i'm already 21 :9
